Little puffs of smoke really take this to the next level!

Dark Cage trinity:
LLV
Bad Lieutenant Port of Call New Orleans
Bringing Out the Dead

Mood lifters (You’ll need it after the above):
Raising Arizona
Honeymoon in Vegas

SensiblePerson, it may indeed be time for a Cage draft.

Dark Cage
Cage even your grandma would watch
Cage only your grandma would watch
A restrained Cage performance
An unhinged Cage performance
A movie that’s good despite him
A movie that’s only good because of him
Mood-lifting Cage
Mood-killing Cage
A movie in which Cage saves the world
A movie in which Cage fails to save the world

Missing any categories?? Might be the most popular thread in the forum’s history incoming.

I’d put Family Man there. An underrated spin on Its A Wonderful Life.

Weather man is a black comedy that I absolutely love.

Have you seen Mandy? I was blessed enough to have a friend invite me to the 1 night showing.

This discussion is making me think does Cage have any rivals? The volume, quality, and film range seems pretty supreme.

We had a watch party for it here back in April! So you mean for a one-night theatrical screening? That must have been great on a big screen.

Aw shit I forgot about that. Gonna go back and read the thread as Mandy is such an interesting work.

Your categories are great! I don’t know if I can add much; skimming Cage’s IMDB made me realize I have not seen a lot of his movies.

Better than the original with Keitel?

I find that a little hard to believe.

Didn’t know there was an original but yes it’s great

I’m not shitting on Abel Ferrara’s original at all, but the remake was made by Werner Herzog. There’s just no comparison.

Well… I didn’t know it was a Herzog film. Thanks. One added to the list.

How about “snake eyes” ? I have little memory of it but as a De Palma film I’m sure it must at least have a few good moments.

(+1 on adaptation&bad lieutenant being his best, Mandy #1 on my watchlist)

Good “half Cage” movie: Kick Ass.
