Watched X Men: Age of Apocalypse
3/10
Not even really worth watching as a hang over movie. No good scenes, everyone’s phoning it in. Only good thing is seeing a mohawk Storm

I just watched Midsommar and Hereditary. Haven’t been able to see too many “scary” movies for a long time because my wife won’t do it. Scary movies have changed! So much wtf.
lol i was about to post about having a blazing saddles watch night. i thought it was hilarious. ending definitely took some risks that didn’t hit 100% but you can’t just blow up the bad guys and have it end that way
I have never seen Blazing Saddles
Ending is great, it’s so meta and it’s not like anyone cared about the plot anyway. Reminds me of the ending to Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
thursday 9pm blazing saddles movie time? i don’t know how to force the forum to watch it like mst3k, someone please put up the moviesign
I will make a banner as soon as I get around to it
Blazing Saddles is in my top 10 comedies of all time, but isn’t even my #1 Mel Brooks movie. That would be Young Frankenstein.
I just listened to a Rewatchables podcast discussing For Love of the Game. I normally love these podcasts, especially for movies that I love, but this was basically an hour+ of Bill Simmons and Mallory Rubin ripping on Kelly Preston. Which makes no sense at all, since both she and this movie are perfect.
Agree wtf
Is there a director that made one great film and all the rest are shit?
M. Night Shyamalan
Richard Kelly
Josh Trank
Andy Tennant
Jared Hess
Was about to say Guy Ritchie but I suppose Snatch was at least fine.
Just saw the Gentlemen though, utter trash. Smug Matthew McChonaughey in Lincoln car commercial for 2 hours basically.
Guy Ritchie for sure. Snatch is fantastic and everything else makes me wish I was watching Snatch
Well idea was Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels was the original good movie, admittedly I haven’t seen either in a while can’t compare the two too much.
I’ve watched Lock Stock perhaps more than any other movie and it keeps getting better. Snatch is an inferior remake with bigger stars and sloppier writing.
I just now dug through your post history on movies so I could make some snarky “You like x/y/z therefore your opinion is invalid,” but I think you have excellent taste. I will holster my joke and revisit LS&2B. Maybe I’m missing something.
