I didn’t think it sucked. Second half was amaze balls but was very much a reverse Full Metal Jacket for me.

Did you or Trolly also watch Nicolas Wending Refn’s movies? Notorious for Drive, but that was popular by accident. He is art house through and through. Only God Forgives and especially The Neon Demon are just as weird as this.
Looking at his movies I have seen a couple, including Drive, but will check them out.
I watched Uncut Gems last night. Twice. It’s a fantastic movie imo. Adam Sandler. Kevin Garnett.
