Shitty people suffer judgement from the courts and they just climb the appellate ladder until they find a partisan enough court to side with them, arguing their dog shit over and over, case after case.
Innocent people in prison, some due to prosecutorial overreach and law enforcement fuckery, spend years/decades throwing a quantum fuckton of Hail Mary appeals against the wall hoping to be heard.
Seems fair.

Just a reminder that this asshole is allowing this transparently and proudly bad faith bullshit to proceed. After losing his first trial he’s moved on to this nonsense - after 3 years and many millions of dollars the only remaining charges are against an analyst for lying to the FBI. I’ll leave it to the reader to determine whether there may be some other people who lied to the FBI who are not being put on trial.
The judge overseeing the trial in Alexandria, Va., U.S. District Judge Anthony Trenga, has expressed some doubts about the case, saying Mr. Danchenko had a persuasive defense.

I don’t know the appropriate gif, but going to call my shot that this won’t be (directly) Trump related. I doubt they’d drop something about him this close to the election, so maybe terrorism related? I guess domestic terrorism could tie into Jan 6th stuff, but I’d be shocked if it was Trump or anyone from his inner circle.

I was thinking the same thing. If it is Trump related and it doesn’t come paired with an indictment I will just lose my shit. I mean I’ve already given up hope of seeing an indictment but to acknowledge there’s a national security threat and literally announce to the public you’re not going to do anything about it somehow seems worse.
