New Antman getting very mixed reviews, maybe the worse Metascore of any MCU movie. I’m still gonna see it this weekend, but I’m a little worried
Saw it with some people last night, it’s lame. Guy who plays Kang is good but otherwise not worth it.
Also, you don’t really learn much about what the new phase is going to be all about.
Antman fucks with the timeline and now an army of Kangs is trying to destroy the multiverse because evil.
Maybe I’m just old but I feel like the MCU hit its peak with the end of the Infinity War and now is just basking in whatever golden coin showers remain.
Then again, I remember thinking tons of the earlier MCU movies felt incredibly unfocused and random, and the only thing that saved them from the same criticisms of being too focused on building up to big team up movies is that Marvel stuff is at least competent.
Amidst the many meh things are some incredible gems, but then we could say the same thing about DC movies of late.
Yeah, I can’t even care. It’s just a different version of Thanos coming to destroy Earth only with a less clear motivation. We don’t get any new team members besides I guess Antgirl who does all the stuff Antman does.
If you’re just going to see it to see what phase 4 is gonna be like, it’s a waste of time.
I thought Quantumania was a lot of fun, but I like goofy stuff
Finally got around to Wakanda Forever, which I liked, but I can’t stop thinking about Namor as a budget Pedro Pascal.
The girl behind me on the bus has been having a long conversation with some guy. Apparently she is a model from Norway who is really into Marvel movies. Her favorite is Iron Man 2. Dealbreaker imo
Agreed.
Sweden > Norway.
LOL I wrote this yesterday. They sound like my kinda people
With the original cast aging out of believable stories for their respective characters, Bob Iger announces PR campaign to shift public perception.
Saw GOTG vol. 3 today. I tempered my expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I think it’s at least as good as the 2nd one.
The movies overall suffer from not letting the director fully take the reigns, but they do let them do some good pieces occasionally like this one

Such an otherwise great movie with an absolutely terrible ending.
They literally pulled a “asian wakanda”.
I watched Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania last night and I gotta say I really hate when a character witholds vitaly important information from others for no good reason.
So you know potentially the most dangerous being in the universe is trapped in the quantum realm and you don’t bother to tell anyone including your husband who is actively studying the quantum realm this. Well done idiot.
it was also the worst mcu movie of all time which isn’t an easy thing to pull off
