Iād like unessential but not unconnected, where you get a fuller appreciation and some fanservice easter eggs if you watch all the TV.
Honestly, my favorite part of the whole show was the end credits when they dust off that classic party banger from the 2000s:
Moon Knight was tier 1 IMO. Falcon and Winter Soldier was also good I thought. More like a 4 hour Marvel movie, but good. I agree with most of the rest.
Loki s02e03 has me strongly interested in where this is going. Miss Manners is all sorts of fun.
If the secret about Renslayer is that sheās a female Kang variant, that would create all sorts of symmetries with Loki/Sylvie that they can explore.
Your spoiler was my immediate thought as well.
so theyāre all dead end of show? Im usually stoned when I watch this and woah maybe thatās a mistake tho.
Maybe, maybe not.
Naw itās just Le Grand Craquement. Next is Le Grand Claquer.
I wonder if the appearance of He Who Remains in the āpreviously onā segment is intended to set this entire season up as a Xanatos Gambit.
IDGAF about Loki anymore but whooooo this trailer looks so badass that Iām ready to be disappointed again.
Gargoyles sighting ITT
Same on both counts. I didnāt make it through the Loki season, but Iām hopeful about The Marvels. I have appropriate skepticism going into any MCU project right now, but the trailer is great, strong enough to make me look forward to it even though Captain Marvel didnāt work for me.
I felt like the trailer was trading so much on older movies that there might not be much going for this one. Hope Iām wrong
Cheers. I hope it is good or even great.
For me, Captain Marvel was a home run. I have revisited it more often than maybe any other MCU movie, with exception to maybe Iron Man 1 and Captain America: the Winter Soldier.
What did you think of the other trailers? I thought the addition of connective tissue in this final trailer elevated the pitch, but I was also sold on this movie by the previous trailers.
I like the Beastie Boys trailer
Iām just excited that itās less than 2 hours. Best case is that they have a tight, focused story that doesnāt drag as much in the third act as some of the recent stuff has. Worst case is that itās bad, but I have popcorn and candy for a greater % of the viewing experience.
I tried twice with Captain Marvel. And really I feel like it should land better with me than many, since it panders pretty aggressively to 90s nostalgia in a way thatās right in my wheelhouse. Ultimately still mostly felt like a convoluted mess to me.
Iām seeing this one in Dolby Cinema on Friday. Hopeful to have good things to say afterward.
