Despite any actual skill, I got walked in the bottom of the last inning of our little league championship and scored the winning run from 2nd base on a single at a close play at the plate and got the hero’s welcome with the whole team running out from the dugout. All downhill from there!

So far they’ve squandered their home field advantage, and shifted the series odds towards the Phillies, by splitting the first two games. Of course, another way of looking at things is they’ve done as well as possible, considering nobody in the universe was beating Wheeler in game #1, and they were down 0-4 in game #2.

These 2B playing shallow right field are still getting the positional WAR bump at 2B that was estimated 20 years ago from bad data by people who can’t tie their own shoes. 2B should not even be a legal baseball position in 2022. The correct position identifiers are RF1 and RF2.

yea a long time ago I saw a really good breakdown as to why it’s hard for 7+ footers to make freethrows, he’s basically throwing down at the hoop.
