Can’t believe the Mets are gonna blow it in the NL East.

So typical Mets.

Epic finish at janky stadium

Don’t remember if I posted already- heading there Sunday for the Paul ONeill day (Mrs will be wearing her new Reds 21 jersey).

I think the metric to be legitimately skeptical of is WAR. SIERA is at least stable from year to year and uses a small number of fairly common inputs. WAR can change significantly after the fact since it undergoes major revisions, and the reason it undergoes major revisions is because it’s highly flawed, especially the defensive component. Check this out:

I’m off to my third game this season… w/o Sabo the dog. He’s already jealous. I’m going with my sister and BIL. This will be his first MLB game.

  • Nationals (Sanchez) +308
  • Padres (Darvish) -400

The above is the Vegas Insider Consensus line. Draft Kings has +310/-380 now. WTF. Are -400 games common now-a-days?

I was considering going to the game this weekend too but playing golf instead. I think this will be ONeill’s first time at the stadium all year. He announces games from Ohio out of his basement because he’s not vaxxed. YES Network policy. I think they’re gonna let him on the field just not allow players around him and then he won’t be invited back up to the booth to call the game.

Sometimes him not actually being in the booth is noticeable when he’s talking but for the most part it’s sounded okay whenever I’ve watched.

No, but the padres are trying to win, the nationals are trying to lose

but this exact pitching matchup happened a week ago and the nationals won that game so lol

Seriously. Homers to RF that don’t make it into the upper deck should be a ground rule double.
