I can’t tell if this is super cool or terrible.
ok that was kinda cool
I think it depends on your nostalgia level for the movie and love for the game.
I’ll admit that Field of Dreams is one of my favorites, so I’m loving this.
I mean, if you tuned in for a game at the field of dreams field and didn’t think they were going to milk the hell out of the cheesiness of it all you showed up for the wrong game.
Where’s old man Tony?
that field and bleachers and everything looks great. the corn! and the cheese
Speaking of nostalgia, the local history/Studebaker museum in South Bend, IN has an incredible room dedicated to the AAGPBL
I’m so glad they got James Earl Jones for something. I’m glad he lived to see this.
fun fact: I got to talk to him as part of a sit down he did with the cast of one of the musicals I did in college. I have no idea how the Air Force Academy got him to come visit and do it, but we sat in a circle on the stage for 2 hours and just talked about his career, acting, life and everything in between.
That’s where they shot the end of League of their Own?
Nah, they shot most of that movie in Evansville, IN. But South Bend was one of the founding teams of the league.
i think they should have tested robo umps for this game
They should let a bunch of HOFers wander out from the corn if the game goes to extra innings.
He had to go to his brother-in-law’s funeral.
i really hope someone gets ejected in the game
I think the scene you’re thinking about took place at the HOF in Cooperstown.
Too bad. Would’ve been cool to have someone there who knew a young Shoeless Joe.
I was thinking about the final scene where they are all old and at a museum, but just checked and looks like it was at Cooperstown.
