At some point teams are just going to start acquiring entire other teams like a mergers and acquisitions thing.
Max gonna get his ring
Dodgers also getting Corey Seager back, so either he or Turner will have to shift to second base.
It’s some real Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous shit when you can platoon all-star shortstops.
Sources tell me that Texas and OU are going to Los Angeles.
The confidence to even try that is incredible. He had the out at first pretty easily, so this wasn’t a desperation flip. He had to be very confident that the flip to second would be on target and in time.
Iglesias may go down as one of the best defensive short stops of all time. At least a few times per season he does something no one else does. I still remember watching this one live. God it makes me sad thinking about how much talent those tigers teams had that just kept constantly shitting the bed in the post season.
Maybe I’m biased because I grew up in the Ozzie era but I still love watching great defensive plays. My favorite part about baseball.
I was reminded about how badass Dave Parker was:

Also, my brother once found Parker’s rookie card in a 15-cent commons box at a card show. Best purchase he ever made, imo.
Ugh, the goddamn Cubs traded Kimbrel, my second best closer, to the White Sox, home of my best closer. Goddamnit.
Thought the Cubs should’ve gotten a little more than that with today’s deals
and they didn’t trade Bryant? go figure
edit–nope to SF at the deadline
the entire Cubs infield gone in 24 hours (other one went to the DL)
The Cubs are playing the Nationals
man that is gonna be real sad to look at the lineups
Not a single deal from the Giants? Seems odd
Lol nevermind. Just saw

oh great the Cubs GM is Trent Baalke
even Marisnick was for a double TJ guy
Man this is just sad. We’ve got a couple friends here, a pair of sisters, who are major cubs fans and bought tickets to all 3 games this weekend, including a big group to tomorrow’s game. They’re devastated right now, won’t be going to tonight’s game, and may not go to Sunday’s either. Just saw all of their favorite players shipped off right before they came to town. They were so excited to see them.
