I’m almost certain I used to deal poker to Doug Eddings when he’d come to Vegas.
Unsurprisingly, he was a major drunk. Like, wasn’t sober at any point I saw him.
I am pretty sure umps aren’t even allowed in casinos. It might still be him, but risking your meal ticket on some poker would be rough. Or I’m not sure the rules, but I remember there being an issue with a replacement ump in the past who had played a wsop event once and it was actually a big deal for some reason.
It was definitely him. One of my co workers was a big baseball fan and knew him, and his crazy shitty call in the 2005 ALCS(?).

If a pitcher has an error, are the runs he gives up after the error earned runs?
Example: K,K, E1, 2 run home run.
I’ve been to that stadium a million times. Never seen anything hit up there JFC. And no way it’s 447 feet.
No, they are unearned runs. Treated the same way as any other player making an error.
