Exactly.
Had a few to choose from and they all fit the category.
This close to invoking shenanigans.

No complaints as it’s all subjective, but Crazy in Love is a decent shout for GOAT pop song, imo.
I’ll tot up the scores and post in spoilers later, if you’re still looking for someone to do it?
Yes, please.
Here’s the standings after round 5, don’t tell Louis.
Exciting stuff. For the moment a two way battle between smrk4’s dependability and Suzzer99’s mercurial flair, but I reckon everyone down to microbet can dare to dream with 2 rounds left. At the ‘wrong’ end of the table jalfrezi’s grim determination for around 10th place every time has finally paid dividends, but even JohnnyTruant can’t relax yet (imo). I remain quietly confident.
@skydiver8 I have been dragged to U2 at Adelaide Oval tonight. It’s the Joshua Tree tour. In honour of your submission I waited until after Red Hill Mining Town to go take a piss.
Deathly dull band imo. Have always thought so, doubling down now.
Holy shit I won a round.
lol, proving why i’d never win a ChrisV walrus. I thought that was the best concert i’ve ever been to when I saw it here. Of course, The Joshua Tree album was U2’s love/hate letter to America specifically, so I’m not entirely sure it has the same impact elsewhere.
I’m going to self asses my next entry as my weakest, and my last entry as hopefully? middle of the road, I didn’t put enough thought into it except for a play on category 1. In other words, top 6 should be pretty live if you have good entries.
looks like the real battle is for 3rd
I’m fairly drunk now though Able to write a post. Nevertheless Louis is doing a sterling job here., listening to hour upon hour of terrible shit (which most of it is, and a lot of that for him is probably my shit) is a thankless task but it’s given a small number of people a lot of pleasure.
Partly I just don’t like U2 and never have, partly the crowd were super lethargic so the atmosphere sucked. This is a general problem in Australia (Australian audiences are infamously more reserved than American audiences) but it was particularly poor last night. I would argue that that’s partly the nature of U2 as a (pretty vanilla/mainstream) band though. They did play my two favourite U2 songs back to back (In the Name of Love and Where the Streets Have No Name) so that was nice.
Atmosphere is really huge in concerts. This was brought home to me early this year when I saw several performances by Gregory Alan Isakov at a folk festival with a generally older crowd where few people knew who he was, then saw him again at a small venue in Adelaide where everyone was there specifically to see him. The show in Adelaide was light years better, the atmosphere elevates the performance.
U2 Live at Red Rocks from the 80s is Goat
just material from Boy, October and War
I inadvertently caught U2 when they were unknown and supporting Echo And The Bunnymen (who were terrible) some time in the early 80s at I think the Lyceum off The Strand. They were a good power pop band, much better for me than the overblown stadium rock band they became.
Next reveal in about 1h.
