That is just common sense from the cops. They are donating a small portion of their income for extra overtime and general job security.

What Federal crimes are they all getting arrested for?
I donât know how the federal justice system interacts with the provincial systems in violent crime.
Iâm not sure how one would go about fixing the overrepresentation. Indigenous Canadians are screwed every which way. On this issue, they live in more desperate situations where crime is more likely to occur, and the police in Canada are about as racist as you can get when it comes to Indigenous populations. When looking at their situation with respect to crime and conviction, to fix that you pretty much have to fix, like, the entire policy toward Indigenous populations. Sounds easy, maybe Doug Ford can fix it by calling some people yahoos.
I donât know the actual stats but it would not shock me if we have a worse record with indigenous people than the US has with African Americans in terms of disproportionate jailing.
Americans are definitely better at pretending that their structural racism isnât there. They donât put all the black people on designated legal âreservesâ, but they crowd them all into the shittiest neighborhoods through more indirect means.
Looks like the liberals are trying lose this election.
I guess weâll get more Doug Ford.

Outside of the cities Ontario is extremely conservative. Combine that with the structural disadvantage of having two competing âleftâ parties and this is what you get.
