That + Miami being pretty anti-communist due to the Cuban community (which would be another example of your point–obviously the people that ran away from Cuban communism have a negative view of communism, as they probably skew much, much richer than the population that stays behind)
Some comments from the geniuses in a Latin America Enthusiasts group I joined a while back. They’re pretty much all pieces of shit except one guy who voted Biden, but isn’t really all that progressive either. These are mostly Americans living in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, etc.
Exit polls in all 3 major outlets give 61 to 62 for bibi’s “easy” coalition. He needs 61.
Margin of error small enough to go either way.
Important to note that there is no direct other side (meaning there is no direct opposition that can easily form a government)
What’s the early over/under for days until the next election?
If the exit polls are correct then bibi can do a full right religious coalition. so he will tear down the courts. After he does that it’s a question of balancing the religious fanatics with the secular lib hating base. If he caves too much to religious pressure he gonna get some cracks inside his party, if he pushes back he can have trouble with the fanatics.
It is not the same as the mishmash coalition he had before or Bennett had. Its a pretty unified extreme right one so he has a better shot at keeping it.
That being said its still well within the margin of error
If anyone is intetested in a nerdy drill down, the issue right now is Balad. They are a nationslit intellectual arabic party. They are currently projected to miss the cut by roughly 12k votes. If they do make it, which is possible, Bibi can lose his easy coalition.
Balad will not be a part of any opposing coalition either. They will just bring the system to a 6th stalemate

Bolsonaro doesn’t concede defeat, but unlike daddy Trump allows the transition to start. Looks like Brazil won’t do fascism just yet!
anyone else following the Iranian protests? there are rumors online that Iran may have started a military action against Saudi Arabia. no information why, or where, except people at the state dep are concerned.
there’s also a video of a symbolic red flag of revenge on top of Jamkaran Mosque, which may or may not be fake, and may or may not mean a declaration of war.
ultimately, i think they’d be crazy to do it. they are supplying russia with weapons, meaning they would be depleting their own stockpiles. they would also force saudis to side with US at the moment. but what do i know, i am not a ballistic master strategist in the caspian basin
between the Iranian regime and the Saudi regime the Iranian is more evil, however if one falls the Iranian regime has more potential to be replaced by much less evil
Pretty official that Bibi won and Israel will have the most religious right-wing government in its existent. You thought we were the baddies before? Just wait.
In a nice homage to the US, the Never Bibi side actually got pretty much exactly 50% of the votes, but due to better strategy in the Bibi side he will have 65 out of 120 seats. One Arab party and one left-wing party were just below the minimum threshold but “wasted” 7.8 potential seats in the parliament.
It’s always been my belief that a multi-party parliamentary system in the US would resemble Israeli politics.
i hear a lot of arguments for a parliamentary republic system, but minimum thresholds like that are a can of worms as bad as gerrymandering sometimes.
The irony is that it was Liberman who successfully pushed doubling the minimum from 1.6% to 3.25% when he was still Bibi’s hound dog. The goal was to keep Arab parties out.
Now Liberman is on team Never Bibi but his law got Bibi a coalition.
Also ironic that the two “leftist” parties refused to unite even though they are completely interchangeable and one of them didnt make it. Meanwhile Bibi’s last alliance of Nazis and Fascists leaders hate each other so much they had their own headquarters and billboards but still ran together.
Shitlibs are so bad at politics
Fucking great going Israelites! Sigh.
Looks like when Brazil sends their people, they’re not sending their best. Clearly, some are good people.
So, when are you moving back?
Why does the US do this the opposite of everyone else and use red for the conservative party and blue for the lefties?
Id wait till Tuesday for that comment
No need. I already know what’s going to happen. WAAF.
Same reason America doesn’t use the metric system. Just have to be irrationally different from everyone else.
