LOL politics in the rest of the world outside the US, Canada, Europe and China

Are there any parties that a majority of this forum would probably have a positive opinion of their policy positions if everyone here was knowledgeable about Israeli politics that can also be described as at least borderline competent?

My girlfriend said the Northeast is poorer, so they support more left wing politics. A lot of wealthy people live in the bigger cities, and also the conservative employers there threaten layoffs if left wingers win.

She’s also quite drunk right now, so keep that in mind.

What am I watching here? Is that spontaneous?

Is there one in the US? It’s not an easy question. The eDems are to the right of every centrist party i can think of in Europe (and in Israel for that matter).

That’s the Northeast (liberal) part of the country celebrating Lula’s victory. That’s the area that Bolsonaro sent the army and police in to try to stop them from voting. I assume given the magnitude of fireworks that at least that part was planned. But the street celebrations I’ve posted appear to be spontaneous.

Steve Bannon has called on Bolsonaro not to concede.

My theory is that if we had a multi-party system in the US and Dems broke up into several parties, all of them would find a way to disappoint us, even the hardcore progressive ones. How many Israeli parties that could be part of a center-left coalition feel like they would have more seats with better leadership?

They should have saved the fireworks to blow shit up in case there’s a coup.

There’s gotta be a lot of seriously freaked out dogs in northeastern Brazil right now.

Again, this is way too deep to give a simple answer. My politics are different than yours and Israeli politics are different than American one. For starters all the extreme right parties have what would be considered extreme left economic views. While Liberman has fairly left wing social views.

Most people here would vote for Merez or Labor party if they were Israeli.

Let’s rephrase my question. Which parties are perceived as having poor leadership by their supporters in the same way that a lot of forum regs hate eDem leadership? Or do the complainers just break off and form their own party?

it’s more of a bibi thing to be honest. There are between 2.5-3.5 parties that only exist because they hate him or he hates them or both.

He is holding the Cadillac emblem he tore off Rabin’s car and says

“like we reached this emblem, we can reach Rabin. When a Prime Minister takes such grave actions we can take grave actions against him”.

This was a week before Rabin’s assassination.

This was 27 years ago. He was completely ostracized for decades. Eventually his followers were enough that they started “wasting” votes for Bibi (you need to reach 4 parliament seats otherwise all votes casted to your party don’t count for anything) so Bibi forced the “light fascists” to unite with him and his even crazier friends (3 other members of his party were actually disqualified by the supreme court. He’s the one that got through).

Bibi already promised Ben-Gvir would be a minister in his government
