At least a few states have tried to pass laws making protestors pay for the cost of the police or military response. As far as I can tell none of these laws have been enacted. I think it’s unconstitutional. If it ever does happen it will be directed at BLM, climate/pipeline, OWS etc.
Lololololololol 3 more months gone, what a system

Jfc. The second there was an order without a concurrent injunction to wait for an appeal filing the Taxes should have been handed over.
Here’s your judge. A+ job Lawbros, fantastic process. Less intelligent people might think this guy should be forced to recuse, but they aren’t the learned folks who wrote the sacred “rules of professional responsibility.” Lol cc: dipshit Breyer

Strongly worded GAO report:
Only in America.
The details of the Sacklers’ liability releases are so far-reaching that last week Judge Robert Drain himself said he had “some concerns about the breadth.”
Huh.
These people getting at away with this shit is proof enough to me there is no god.
Or … there is a God and he’s a massive asshole.

Sackler Gallery is one of my favorite museums :(
It put me on mega monkey tilt recently seeing that name still up on the wall at the Met in NYC.
