Online advertising doesnāt work. The whole industry is a scam and probably a bubble ready to pop too.
If people want new users they need to create content that will attract them. Us talking to one another isnāt very compelling reading to people who arenāt us.

What sort of free thinking politically aware person is going to persuaded by a fucking advert? In any case theyāre probably immune to advertising, having learnt how to ignore it a long time ago.
If you create a place that isnāt cliquey where different people feel welcome, word should spread and more will come. Itās a tall order now, though.

Why do we want new users? Most of the joy on this site comes to chatting with folks with whom I have some kind of longstanding relationship or online proximity. Iām not here for politics. I found 22 via poker, hung out in the politics forum a bit, followed some smart folks hereā¦ Weāre basically a bunch of people who like to gamble and think weāre smarter than everyone else. How to you brand that?
NFTs, stocks, crypto, sports betting, political betting, are discussions/selling points to draw in people. Oh, and you need to be socialist or leaning that way, to fit in.
Have we considered that we may already be approaching full saturation of socialists who like to out-smart other people for money?

Oh, and yeah, the idea we find good new forum posters thru advertising, when we all hate advertising and block them ā¦ I agree with whoever said above, it needs to be thru content creation.
If you really want new members ā¦ How about an Unstiuck āfundā of sorts. Some way of aggregating consensus picks. This is what Unstuck is hot on ā¦ X coin, Y horse, Z stock, Cheney is out, Free money on Biden ā¦
