Communication Breakdown vs Dancing Days is a really really tough one for me. It ended up coming down to the fact that I enjoy playing Dancing Days more than Communication Breakdown on drums. That groove and those fills are hard to beat.
Voted for Song Remains the Same because overall it’s a great track, but Plant’s… falsetto? around 3:20… idk wtf to call it really, but it’s very cringey.
I was listening to a Zep song in my dad’s car one day in 1981 and my step-mom thought Plant may have recorded himself getting racked on a bicycle and cut it into the song. I think it was I Can’t Quit You Baby.
Achillies Last Stand was definitely underrated by OP. Should have been in the top half of the rankings imo. Probably the only match so far where my decision was pretty tough.
Grunching: Friends goat. Time changes in intro are crazy and the studio recording is sick af. Lyrics are great. Not here to argue about it. I’m out. The IV album is what got me into rock though, played by my friend’s dad on way to Easter.
