I still remember when in 15/16ish and the future of the senate was discussed, many were saying there was no way the dems could do anything earlier than 24. This is not to call anyone out, I was not educated enough to even hazard a guess. But even though this is literally the bare minimum of control. It goes to show you how crazy things can go in just four years.
Honestly having Mitch lose power is pretty significant, so even though I don’t believe this split senate will accomplish a lot. I think it will accomplish some things and it won’t be driven by pure obstructionism.
