My source puts GA at about 30/70 right now. This gives hope for Dems. The fact that they trailed Biden by 100k is a bad sign though. The two races are gonna be pretty tightly correlated which isn’t surprising

- deplorables love to vote in person
- democrats tend to vote more by mail
- georgia allows vote by mail/absentee without requiring a specific reason (?)
- run-offs have massively lower turnout
all of these are correct, yes?
my question is whether there is any data on if that massive drop-off in turnout is specific to in-person voting or if it extends to mail-in voting.
my guess is that we don’t have much data. Maybe some data from CO or WA or other states that have had “real” vote-by-mail for some time?
my hypothesis would be that there’s still a dropoff for vote by mail but it’s probably smaller than the in-person dropoff since it’s less friction than in-person. and with someone like stacy abrams driving the bus, the democrats could shrink the dropoff even further.

The attack ads from the Republicans are insane right now. It’s basically all HE’S A RADICAL’S RADICAL (I didn’t make that up), HE HATES POLICE, IF HE WINS, YOUR FAMILY IS FUCKING DEAD. Of course, all the dramatic music and scary looking video effects.
