The proper strategy was obvious on election night. Hammer home “vote for us and we will give you money.” Instead the Democrats have opted for “we promise to be nice to Republicans, the same people we are saying you have to vote against to save Democracy.”

I’m sure I’ve seen Riverman make this point in a bunch of place, but it’s kind of an issue: Why the fuck isn’t Biden out campaigning for the GA senate seats? That needs to be his fucking job for the next month. Are there any rules (or norms) about a president-elect campaigning for Warnock and Ossoff? Even if there are, he shouldn’t let it stop him, since Trump wouldn’t. But it would be slightly less unforgiveable.
Apparently Obama did the same thing. There’s some calculation that you don’t want to start off your presidency on a losing note.
