The ones I’ve used have a little paper filter which is good. You get the effect of a French press but without the mud.
Sounds good I’ve been using a keurig because I’m lazy.
Hmm that is an issue. My work schedule is all over the place so I can need 2-3 cups sometimes. I’ll find that other thread
I guess I’m a white supremacist gun nutter lol. Wife and I found this (our moving company packed the kitchen) while unpacking today. No idea where it came from, though our best guess is as a groomsman gift from a wedding a decade or so ago.
Wait, white supremacists ruined the Gadsden flag now too?
It was super popular with the Tea Party.
Yea i dont think its white supremacist per say but its def right wing nutter territory now which is really sad.
Uh, yeah, that got appropriated ages ago.
LOL, Tommy Boy is a real person and he’s now serving in Congress.

Speaking of hot as a haddock. This is a major city where most don’t have AC (and the power grid is failing) experiencing Death Valley-level heat.
Two protesters were shot dead by security forces Monday during demonstrations over a lack of electricity and basic services amid the heat wave.
Barely even worth mentioning in Baghdad I guess.

Annie Lennox has always been better than Madonna, anyway.
To me, french press is akin to unfiltered cigarettes. I find that you get a stronger, fuller flavor. The sacrifice is that at the bottom, there’ll be a small bit of residue in your cup no matter how you mix it. I’m willing to handle it for a better tasting coffee imo.
If you want a cleaner cup without having that residue, aeropress is probably better. I’ve heard people claim that an aeropress coffee is healthier than french press. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was true.
While searching for info on Stella Immanuel, I discovered that the BBC maintains a news site using pidgin English, which apparently is a first language for millions in Africa.
TIL that “sacrilege”, defined as committing an offence such as theft from a place of divine worship, is a crime in my state for which the maximum penalty is life imprisonment.
Obviously life imprisonment never actually happens but “sacrilege” is an active crime, SA Police have charged 119 people with it in the last five years.
Yeah it’s pretty awesome. Nicking guitars from a church is “sacrilege”. OK.
I think the crime does actually require that you break into or out of the establishment. If you just walk in, take stuff and walk out, that’s theft but not sacrilege.
167—Sacrilege
A person who—
a) breaks and enters a place of divine worship and commits an offence to which this section applies 1 in that place; or
b) breaks out of a place of divine worship after committing an offence to which this section applies 1 in that place,
is guilty of sacrilege and liable to be imprisoned for life.
Not sure if this makes it make more or less sense.
