LC Thread 2020: What the PUNK? ROCK.

We did this before (perhaps before you joined?) either here or on exiled.

Confirmed. We’re all commies.

I can’t find the post but I think I came out as to the left of almost everyone except the actual Communist whose name escapes me, and about the same as @microbet

clovis confirmed centrist. :grinning:

Indeed. Some of the questions were poorly worded imo forcing a response I might not normally give. X is ALWAYS… kind of thing.

Agree with some of the questions being worded poorly.

Confirmed nutter

I feel like my answers to some of these could change based on how angry I am and what I’m angry at.

I think your score depends heavily on if you mash the “strongly” button more often.

When we did this before nearly everyone was in the far bottom left. It’s not super surprising given the self-selection of this community, but also a little frustrating that the views expressed on this forum (which are sane, logical, and compassionate ldo) are considered super fucking extreme in American politics.

It’s a slanted test, where I think the main goal is to portray Labour and Liberal Democrats as not particularly great alternatives to Conservatives in the UK. The similar and earlier Nolan test was a ridiculously slanted US-centric piece of libertarian propaganda.

Here are my results

Here is how they viewed the 2016 election.

Here’s 2020.

You’re to the left of Bernie Sanders, according to the chart. Mention it the next time a BernieBro goes after you.

Not surprising. If Bernie ran for the Labour leadership here no one except the very right of the party would want him. He’d be a shoe in for the Lib Dems though.

In lol USA#1 he’s commie public enemy #1.

This is about the smartest thing I’ve read on politics in the last few years.

It’s kind of hard to not be aiming for something when you take those tests, but I came out just a smidge less to the left and just a smidge more towards the bottom. I think.

I had already forgotten that Steyer exists. Thanks alot.
