They sort of do:
Since 1995, the DSA’s position on American electoral politics has been that “democratic socialists reject an either-or approach to electoral coalition building, focused solely on a new party or on realignment within the Democratic Party”.[27] During the 1990s, the DSA gave the Clinton administration an overall rating of C-, “less than satisfactory”.[28]
The DSA’s elected leadership has often seen working within the Democratic Party as necessary rather than forming or support third parties. That said, the DSA is very critical of the corporate-funded Democratic Party leadership.
I think the reason the DSA hasn’t been nearly as successful has as much to do with structural and organisational differences between Labour and the Dems as the prevailing political climate in each country. And the entire Momentum tendency was in the wilderness from the '80s until 2015 when Corbyn was elected after being run as the token left-wing candidate. Change is never coming until it’s happened.
I worry that’s a rash of bots registering.
This is my position on JC… If it mattered to me this election I’d vote Labour and tbh I almost wish I could, as I think he’s a thoroughly decent man.
Link? Id like to donate.
I am overseas, and I can vote, but my last registered address was in an 80% labour safe seat.
I tried to donate to Labour from overseas recently, but you can’t. I’m pretty sure I tried similar last time, they ask for a postcode and I assume use that against the card. It’s legal for overseas donations under a certain amount, but it’s dodgy as it’s alleged the Brexit party used that to allow multiple donations from richer foreigners. Don’t know about exceptions for voters (I am one too).
Was wondering about posting here to see if I could channel money. Also don’t know if it’s possible to donate to Momentum from overseas, but would be happy to.
E2A - donating to momentum looks like it’s going to work:
And it did.
Me and I think my brother will donate alough I still think we’re voting SNP and we’re all for anyone trying to beat the b******s.
We really want to vote Labour tbh because of JC plans… I wish Labour had a chance for both our seats tbh.
If the Lib Dems and the Greens both stood down in Uxbridge, or if their voters in that constituency had brains, Johnson would lose his seat.
Expand this thought across the ~70 constituencies in which Tories are currently predicted to win by <5pts, and you realise that this inevitable Tory majority really ought not to be a thing. We’re going to get the government we deserve.
England is going to get the Government it deserves.
Another reason to vote labour
