That’s a bit different. Abrams wasn’t just coming off a failed presidential campaign that cost millions to run.
That said, he’s certainly an establishment Dem but that’s realistically what we’re gonna get as a VP nom. Should be somebody who has pull in a state that can go blue.

Any rudimentary kind of Hispanic outreach is something the Dems really need right now, so I assume there’s ~0% chance Biden picks a Latina VP.

I understand the need to boost black turnout (it was way down in 2016) but the demographic future of this country is latnio. Also, Latinos vote, so anything we can do to get them to turn out for us is a bonus. Just another way the Biden campaign is fucking up by not drawing on the experience of other campaigns. Bernie’s Latino outreach was incredible and groundbreaking, and the fact that Biden isn’t copying it down to the letter is rage-inducing.
