They might be more driven to pick someone who is a prosecutor, some who they think appeals to both minorities and people who crave âlaw and orderâ.

Polling (and common sense) says Warren benefits the ticket most so Dems will surely come up with any way possible to justify putting anybody but Warren on the ticket.
Polling, I believe you. Not seeing common sense vs say Kamala. Younger, person of color, super duper safe senate seat.
The only one of these that seems to be worth anything electorally is the Senate seat. In the Democratic primary, three out of four of the top candidates were old as balls and four out of four were white. I donât see a reason to expect young poc to fare better in the general.
Iâm hot-taking it, so no data behind this, but when Obama was on the ticket didnât more poc vote? Wouldnât a poc woman energize the youth vote? Maybe not since the youtes wanted Bernie.
Picking a prosecutor would be just about the dumbest move of all time after this week which is why theyâll do it.
I think you could get away with it with a black former prosecutor. I just see Biden picking Liz, they win, senate goes 50/50 and then the governor of MA appoints an R.
Not sure he would, and if youâre scared of that have Liz resign from the senate immediately after being picked, guaranteeing a special election at the same time as the presidential election.
