“One times one equals two because the square root of four is two, so what’s the square root of two? Should be one, but we’re told its two, and that cannot be.”

I agree with him that the square root of 2 is not 2.

Horses have an odd number of legs. Proof:

A horse has two hind legs and fore legs. That makes six legs altogether, which is an odd number of legs for a horse. QED

The square root of a horse is a cat. I’ve got the proof.

Might not be as dumb as it sounds. Maybe they programmed an algorithm for e.g. the Traveling Salesman Problem in Python or w/e which they think has polynomial runtime, but they have no idea how to prove it (and determining the runtime of an algorithm can be insanely hard).

I always dreamed of an indirect proof, but you wouldn’t even get the idea of doing that without a background in theoretical computer science, so the above scenario is most likely.

it’s confusing because to even be aware of what P and NP stand for (or understanding what a ‘proof’ is) requires “mathematical knowledge“. sounds like a troll attempt.

Naah they might just seen a YT video like this:

Lol Naughts and Crosses! @ChrisV explain.

Lol. Dude.

You should see how many people on youtube have proved the Riemann hypothesis.

But, yo, check it out, I’ve solved it too. Without loss of geberality, P=0 or 1, N is any number.
