Walking
Hah! My same year of college, a friend and I did the exact opposite. We went about 6 weeks of going out every single night - only noticed when we took a night off and it was weird; so we backtrack calculated. We lived in crappy little dorm rooms tho.
A week of nothing for 100k would be trivially easy. Boring af without internet/books/tv, but Iâd def do it.
A stack of National Geographic magazines and Iâd do it for 10k.
You guys are rich, I wouldnât pay more than 2500.
Huh? I wouldnât think twice about letting the garbage pile up for $100,000. Itâs just a week.
How much garbage do you guys produce? I might fill a tall kitchen bag at most.
Didnât any of you quarantine?
I did 9 days in a hotel room during peak omicron. It sucked but I got through half of the Jack Reacher books.
I have a garage with room for lots of garbage, but the cans are outside. Just leaving the garbage in the garage I wouldnât notice I hadnât gone outside for a week. Iâm saying it isnât a challenge until the food delivery guy leaves the food 6â from my door or the power goes out or something.
A week is trivial. Donât even need delivery or trash pickup. Done it every winter with significant snow since Covid. A month is more of challenge, as multiple food deliveries and trash hauls needed. Probably did once or twice during Covid winters.
Caveat: a couple good pet visitors to break the loneliness is a must. No Dogs = No Go
