There’s some algorithm, because they do sometimes show up on the second row, but it’s rare. And it almost never shows up in the top row, but I think I’ve seen it happen once over many years of watching
No, they’re usually found in the bottom 3 rows, most commonly in the fourth row with the other two having about the same frequency. DDs in the second row are uncommon, and they’re almost never found in the first row.
Also, in Double Jeopardy! the two are never found in the same category, so once the first one has been found you can leave that category alone.
Its also very infrequently in the far right category. They dont tend to like to put them in gimmick categories very often and that one is always some kind of gimmick.
BJ, any idea when the DD in the top row happened? Ive been watching a long time and never seen it. And in Amys semi final, she found the last one in the last $800 clue, and Ken said something like “And Amy knows shes got the daily double now” so he pretty much confirmed it wont show up there at least in the current itteration.
Essentially, dont go column by column and dont start at the top. In double jeopardy the best finders will bounce from category to category in the 1200 and 1600 clues.
First clue last category makes sense, but what’s going on with the whole second category?
Wow, 8 is much more than I would have thought. How weird is that
Yeah, column 6 having more than column 2 is a mind blow as well.
Last one was last April: J! Archive - Show #8385, aired 2021-04-23
Also the only game where all three DDs were in the top two rows.
Amy played a much better game today, but she’s drawing pretty thin for the overall win if she keeps sticking with her top-to-bottom strategy.
Excellent. Thanks everyone
Yeah, same with Sam. He should have had that first daily double but went top to bottom on the most likely category it was in.
I dunno if Andrew will eventually win but he’s the only one in this tournament that has balls of steel.
Being in 2nd works out for Amy today. She should have had the lead but for leaving $2200 behind on her DD bet.
Pretty fun game. If the guys had been tied going into FJ, Amy would be up 2-1 now
Great game. Was rooting for Sam to even it up
Same, question, would The Jews have worked as an answer?
not sure if serious, but the title of the book is Epistle to the Hebrews and is commonly referred to as Hebrews. I guess they were Jews, so I suppose one could make an argument that should be accepted (depending on how the question was worded, which I don’t remember).
It was something like “The epistle to them has the most quotations in any book in the bible.”
I dont think it would fly. If the books title is " An epistle to the Hebrews" thats probably the only answer
Apparently the FJ yesterday has caused a massive outcry from biblical scholars.
