Missed tonight. Will be on road rest of week. Will turbo watch this weekend. Less KC.
Why was Sting wearing a wetsuit for his video clues today?
Did any of you notice in yesterdayâs episode when a contestant (wrongly) answered âwhat is Schittâs Creekâ they put a caption on the screen saying âSchittâs Creekâ? Was that just because it sounds like a curse word? I donât recall seeing that before and it made me chuckle.
I saw an article somewhere. Exactly the reason. Can you imagine Old lady Gertrude hearing Shitâs creek and calling the show?
Yup. When Dan Levy was a guest on one of the late night talk shows, they even did a running gag where they said Schittâs Creek a million times as an excuse to keep displaying the name of the show.
It took me 2 seasons to realize that Roland Schitt sounds like roll in shit. Iâm not very bright.
Iâm glad I stuck with the show, as Iâm in the middle of season 3 and really enjoying it.
I realize now that what I found frustrating is that the Levys waited until ep 6 or 7 of S1 to finally stop portraying every main character as just an obnoxious caricature.
absolutely, there are legions of shitbags that will complain about the dumbest shit imaginable so words that sould LIKE âshitâ but arenât actually must be a HUGE concern

Speaking of dirty words, remember when Ken Jennings got set up? They absolutely did him dirty. WOOOAH, what a dirty mind you have, Ken!
I dont understand this one at all. Why do people complain about âCan I getâ?
have you ever met any people
Can confirm that on WoF we were asked to not say âpleaseâ after calling a letter or buying a vowel, among many other ticky tacky ârulesâ like that.
Pat seems very picky about how the game is played. He seemed really annoyed with how slow the guy who won last night was playing â when he won the bonus round for $100,000, Pat said something like, âI guess playing deliberately pays off!â
I have mixed feeling about Pat. That guy yesterday solving the prize puzzle on the Express train so deliberately was really interesting. Between that and his solve of the last puzzle before the speed up round, my theory is that he knew both and was trying to control the pace of play as much as he could get away with to run out the clock knowing he had the lead.
Is Wheel harder nowadays or am I getting dumber? Feel like as I age I get better at Jeopardy but worse at Wheel.
Itâs harder. Thereâs too many different games now and hard to keep up unless you watch every single day.
Eh I think Wheel has gotten easier. There are more opportunities to use context clues to solve, particularly in the toss ups. If itâs a theme week or location week the first toss up is almost always related to the theme. And then the triple toss up towards then end is very beatable if you can think like the writers as all three have something in common. My favorite was when the first of three toss ups was âbeach bungalowâ and I solved the second one before they even put up blank letters which was âprivate cabanaâ. Yesterday the three tossups were âchunky peanutbutterâ, âbutterscotch candyâ, âbuttered popcornâ. By the third tossup you should know to look for butter in there.
Also, the Express Train (introduced a few years ago) is the biggest crock of shit with such an unfair amount of added value to it.
Jeopardy also has gotten easier for me, but I think thatâs due to understanding the style of clues better. I really like how so many can be answered without actually knowing the answer if you can use some part of the clue for context. Iâm sure that only gets easier the more you watch.
The fact that you can buy vowels during the Express makes it so ridiculously +ev that I mock every contestant who doesnt do it no matter how many letter have been revealed.
Even if there are zero letters revealed it should still be the snappiest of snap yesses to hop on the train. People are so bad at playing the game though and it makes me scream at the tv.
Iâm worse at both Jeopardy and Wheel.
