I am here for the Monday interview section where Alex tap dances. I shit you not. It is glorious.
He was actually pretty decent too lol
I rarely watch did people start using the James strategy or did they go back to normal boring wagers?
Maybe one person did? Very few people are strong enough to be able to play like that though.
I think there is a little more tendency to bet big but thatâs just a guess. Mostly back to the old way.
I think weâre seeing more aggressive bets on the first round daily doubles but still very conservative in double and final jeopardy
Last weekâs 4-day champ was very aggressive in DD wagering. In general, though, no. People just donât have the nerve to bet that much money, even though itâs not really money unless you win.
sklansky voice: Actually, the weaker the player is, the more risk and variance the player should assume.
What is an ugly person in a wheelchair?
Someone who got what they deserve?
Meh. Heâs always had a twisted sense of humor. His Reddit AmA is possibly the best one ever done.
lol thatâs the best the twitter misanthropes can find after scrupulously combing through 30,000 of his tweets? Who gives a shit?
His reddit AmA has some of his sense of humor
It doesnât bother me. Theyâre clearly innocent posts. Though I suppose old people is his main audience and they might be put off.
Ken Jennings is the obvious choice if you had to choose one immediately.
But I like the idea of running through a series of guest hosts before deciding.
Also really looking for the primetime version of The Chase where James, Brad, and Ken are the chasers.
I think Brad would be a great host too, but I love Ken
I was giving it some thought but I think Iâd rather host Wheel of Fortune. Donât have to worry about properly pronouncing âgenreâ for that gig.
Oh, you meant Rutter?
What direction is this referring to? Because tapping someone with years of experience on TV who actually hosts gameshows seems like a person worth considering.
Aisha Tyler is another good idea imo for some of the reasons you mentioned.
Alex often acted like he knew all the answers but he wasnât a graduate from an elite university. He was a good-looking guy with a warm demeanor and could read. I really hope KJ does well. He certainly seems personable and pleasant enough. Just donât get the idea that being a great player will necessarily translate into being a great host.
âAway from a straight white manâ was what I was referring to.
I do hope we see some diversity in the guest hosts they bring in. Itâs a good opportunity to showcase people that the masses wouldnât normally associate with being a game show host.
Man Pat Sajak has been waiting for that promotion for decades. Heâs like the prince Charles of game show hosts.
Hosting a game show is apparently a lot harder than it looks. I watched some Wheel of Fortune episodes when Vanna White hosted and she was terrible. She has been on the show for decades yet still couldnât step in and say names, call letters, and partake in a little banter.
