Jeffrey Epstein and Associates

They can’t kill her, she’s from the old country

In part, he has huge beef with Dershowitz.

I assume money. Reporting has been poor on this but it seems Epstein blackmailed his way to a solid 9 figure net worth. Boies will make 35% - 40% of the recovery and the heirs have basically consented to all the money going to his victims.

Edit: estate is an astounding $634 million

Probably a lot easier to assassinate her in those other countries

lol I don’t even think he says it right when he gives the “correct” pronunciation. The s is silent when you pronounce it but I thought the ghi part sounded like gui in guilty just more h sound after the g.

Slight nitpick but I think she had 20 bank accounts that range from a couple $100k to one that has $20 mill so depending on how much were in the in between accounts she could have a lottt

I guess the hourly rate for procurement of Lolita services for the elite is quite high, plus the fortune inherited from her crook father.

Do we think she felt safer in the US? For someone who is a global traveler it is weird she stayed in the US. Unless she thought it was easier to get got elsewhere.

You are probably right, I didn’t feel like digging up the actual FBI source and was just working from memory. But yeah, she’s shuffling at minimum $20M. I’ll nit myself on another point: the apparent LLC she set up seems to have actually been called Granite Reality LLC in Bradford, NH. Note that is not Granite Realty LLC, which is another LLC in Bedford, NH and has been incorrectly reported as the buyer in a lot of media. It seems like the confusion was the entire purpose. The description of her LLC is:

Acquiring, holding for investment, maintaining, preserving, developing, improving, operating, selling, leasing, financing, disposing of and otherwise investing in real and personal property, and any lawful business permitted under the New Hampshire Limited Liability Company Act.

The Granite Realty, LLC listed in one of the documents appears to be a typographical error. An individual connected to that company told Law&Crime by telephone that his company was not involved “whatsoever” with the property linked to Ghislaine Maxwell.

I really have no idea what to think and could only speculate. It could all be a ruse to argue she’s not a flight risk at the bail hearing. “Look, your honor, she could have fled the country and she didn’t!” So if they grant her house arrest, that’s a huge win because it appears their defense is going to be this bullshit NPA. IANAL but seems like people are suggesting it could take years to sort out whether it’s actually enforceable, to what degree, and in what jurisdictions.

Her Denver attorneys are Haddon Morgan & Foreman of Kobe Bryant and John Bennett Ramsey notoriety. Also Nutter McClennen & Fish in Boston. She’s now tapped former prosecutors from SDNY (Everdell) and EDNY (Cohen) to represent her. That’s a lot of fuckin’ lawyers for someone whose only known work is a 501(c)(3) with last reported income of $12k and net assets of approx -$550k.

You are making the classic error here. Rich powerful people are not necessarily the sharpest. They are also cowards. They are not collectively conspiring to make her disappear, they are hoping one of the other c**** will do it for them.

More on this:

Another former SDNY prosecutor said she believed that, while Epstein’s attorneys are not likely to make a successful argument in court that the agreement applies to the New York district, they could make that appeal to the deputy attorney general.

“The only shot his lawyers have on it is as a matter of Department of Justice discretion, but not as a legal argument that SDNY is bound by the Florida agreement,” this person said. If the department were to accept his lawyers’ appeal, that could jeopardize part or all of the New York case.

Cool, cool. Why kill yourself when this is a huge favorite to happen? Anyway, it seems like this NPA charade is why they charged Maxwell for crimes only up to 1997. The SDNY charges against Epstein (committed in NY) were from 2002-2005, years covered under the NPA. So even though they apparently have jurisdiction that the NPA does not cover, doing an end-around to avoid it entirely is probably better? In before Bill Barr says the NPA still applies anyway because nothing matters that’s why.

Note that when poor people advance very good arguments like “you’ve violating my constitutional right to a speedy trial by holding me in jail longer than the sentence for the crime I’m charged with,” they get laughed out of court. Quite the contrast!

Theory: When Barr learned that the SDNY was about to charge Maxwell for New York crimes committed prior to 2001, thus completely bypassing the NPA and Barr’s ability to directly place his fat corrupt ass on the scale, he moved quickly to install a hatchet man atop SDNY.

I missed this my first time through, but I’m going to guess that Maxwells aren’t exactly fans of boats.

Yeah I’m well aware but then it got high profile enough that they went after him again. I know rich people are generally above the law obv, but Maxwell had to know at this point the case was way too high profile for people to just ignore it forever. Like if it was big enough they went after Epstein, the actual billionaire, why wouldn’t they come after you too?

Also an angle I’ve been seeing people say is Barr comes to some kind of arrangement with Maxwell and she implicates Biden a week out from the election. Definitely conspiracy theory nonsense but I wouldn’t put it passed them. Doesn’t even need to go to court, she just needs to implicate him via an attorney a week out. She can recant, DOJ gives her a sweat heart deal. I dunno I’m just expecting them to pull all the crazy shit out here.
