“IF Mr. Sondland’s testimony turns out to be true, THEN we would certainly have to look very hard at whether or not we might be open to the possibility of being DEEPLY concerned about the matter.”

Firmly in camp doesn’t matter.

Everybody already knew he did it. It’s great Rudy and Pompeo and Pence might get got, but this changes nothing.

Speaking of Barr, just a reminder that the DOJ IG report on 2016 is supposed to be dropping soon. Lindsay already scheduled hearings for December, so maybe we get some selective leaks to kick up more mud around the issue of election interference / “all Presidents spy on their opponents”

Dunno if times were just that much different or if Nixon was a sucker for resigning, but what Reagan proved and Trump will also is that Republican Presidents are untouchable. People don’t even remember that 138 Reagan officials were convicted, indicted or investigated.

Why are there no deep fakes of a cow head on Nunes asking questions?

Today absolutely cements Trump getting impeached in the House. It’s on the record and it’s going to force the GOP Senators to go on the record as well. That is a good thing come next November.

Trump has always been the useful idiot for the GOP. But now he is a clear liability. I mean why do you think Nunes/Castor look completely defeated? If this changed nothing, they wouldn’t give a fuck. We are going to find out just how loyal guys like Pompeo, Barr, Perry, Rudy and Pence are in the next few months.

Isn’t the whole overall strategy of the Rs for like 2 decades been the erosion of democracy? Don’t see too many of the current crop who are already aware they need to suppress voting and/gerrymander to win seats caring about the end of democracy.

The ones that ended in prison sure remember. I bet Manafort, Cohen, and Stone will remember as well.

He may have donated to the campaign as well, but the $1 million was to the Trump inaugural committee. So he wasn’t even supporting a candidate as much as buying tickets to a fancy party and paying to get dragged into this mess…

(Now, obviously, I think these guys knew each other pretty well given the language they used with each other, but it’s almost more fun to imagine Sondland just cutting a check to buy himself into this administration)

Best million he ever spent

Sure. James Watt and Ollie North got got. But, Reagan didn’t and Trump almost certainly won’t. Hopefully it helps him lose in 2020 or end his Presidency at Walter Reed.

Looking at the highlights, seems that this Sondland guy effectively decimated the GOP that was trying to protect Trump. Yet, Dems will find a way to screw up.

It’s like the scene from The Crow where the dude keeps getting shot but regenerates, only to make the other guy shoot himself in the leg.
