ITV: Impeachment Television

Cliffs?

A) Dumpster fire
B) Meh
C) wegothim.gif
D) Other

I assume it’s going to end up what everyone expected, R and R voters don’t give the slightest ****.

D) in so far as: it’s definitely not C) but a good measure above B), and actually somehow less A) from the GOP than I thought, that is to say, they’re merely making no substantive defense, but no stunts.

I’m happy we dodged Matt Gaetz crashing the hearing via suspension cable a la Howard Stern

Jordan “Secondhand? These are third, fourth hand accounts of the phone call”.
Reporter “ The White House is blocking people with first hand knowledge of the phone call from testifying. Do you agree with this decision?”
Jordan “Those are close advisers to the president. That’s their decision”.

L O fucking L. This thing is such a joke. “durrrr these aren’t first hand accounts” “here’s some subpoenas. Testify with your first hand account”. “Lol no”.

So is there anymore to come today?

Trump presser, apparently.

Schiff, in his closing statement, said something about ‘staying close.’ Guess I misunderstood. Damn, was getting good.

The repubs, after every 5-minute segment of interview, couldn’t have been more pathetic in asking that crap like ‘Mulvaney’s denial of a quid pro quo’ be entered into the record.

If everyone was listening to the call between Sondland and Trump, bring on the recording. Now that would be something.

this is why WAAF. the rest of this is smoke filled dinner theater

The republicans have set the bar so low that if they don’t end up wiping shit on the walls, it’s a success.

Even with the shit…

CNN: Mixed feelings expressed about Republicans’ latest “passionate” protest against an impeachment process thay they claim has been rigged from the beginning

Thw majority of people do not watch Fox News. Those viewers are never going to change their minds. The impeachment hearings are for those that don’t watch Fox.

Honestly I read BB as Bill Belichick the first time I skimmed through this post and was like “weird but OK.” I have lost the capability to be surprised in this crazy timeline we live in.

NPR was exponentially worse but I don’t have a direct quote because I heard it in the car. They still have to treat GOP nonsense seriously I guess.

I turned on Fredo last night because I’m a masochist. He was interviewing Tom Perez, head of the DNC, and asked him how he thought democrats in the Senate would react if we replaced Trump with hypothetical President Hilldawg in an identical fact pattern. Perez stumbled for a few minutes about how democrats care about truth before finishing with something like “you know that’s a very interesting hypothetical, and I see what you’re getting at”. This followed several questions about how, really, voters are probably going to be turned off by this once the senate votes not to remove him from office.

This is the level of discourse most people are getting about the impeachment.

To be fair once they complete their 4000 page homework assignment they’ll jump right on our side.
