I don’t think ChrisV is taking ivermectin, but I think he did go a little far (maybe just for rhetorical effect) by saying that taking ivermectin is a freeroll.
I think others should be afforded the same rhetorical license to refer to it as horse paste.
Oh so a post where he quoted ChrisV saying “if you can afford [ivermectin] and take it as directed then you could argue that it’s a freeroll” is what you mean. Seems like directly quoting someone is a very fair thing to say. Seems like Wookie’s statement is accurate, and you’re really mad about it for some reason.
Do you not take it as him answering my question with ChrisV? Do you think he just posted that quote in response to my question randomly? Or do you acknowledge the obvious and you agree with Wookie that ChrisV is a good answer to my question?
I think he showed quite clearly that he’s right, included a quote, and you continuing is embarrassing at this point. Unless you turn down freerolls for some reason. I usually take them
So, you’re agreeing that ChrisV was accused of being someone who might be taking ivermectin?
And, that I did answer your snarky post here:
Snarky because you obviously saw my post and Wookie’s post and you were obviously disagreeing with what you’re now agreeing with (lord, I know you can’t follow that sentence, but I won’t ELY5).
Dunno if ChrisV is going to respond to my question about whether he’d take it without a prescription. He’s probably insulted by being called out as a heretic. (yes, that’s taking some license, no one literally called him a heretic.)
I don’t care, because I don’t believe anyone actually did that? That’s what “talking past each other” means.
Your turn. What is the point of your posting in this thread? It looks like people are starting to converge to some level of understanding. It looks like you just want to start a fight. ChrisV doesn’t need your defense, especially if he’s been posting 16 years. So what’s the goal?
I think the posting directed at ChrisV and Bobman have been attacks on their reputations and that I should not just let them pass unchallenged.
My goal in this thread is to talk to people I know about covid, not to Google “what are the CDC recommendations for covid” or “how many cases of covid in Florida”.
I still don’t get this. They did the study and measured how long people in the two groups took to recover. The finding was that the study participants who took the drug got better a little sooner, but the difference was small enough that it could have arisen by chance, so therefore it’s no basis for concluding that the drug did anything useful. Is that all agreed? That’s all I’m saying.
You know what probably would’ve stopped this from being a thing? Universal health care!!
I mentioned people in America taking horse dewormer for covid to a class of students and they were cracking up. They hadn’t heard of it until I mentioned it. Why? Because if they get sick they can go to the hospital without worrying about going broke.
This is incorrect. People are taking horse dewormer not because of financial hardship, but that’s because doctors aren’t generally writing prescriptions and pharmacies aren’t generally filling it. It isn’t an access to care thing.
