Cliffs: Facebook stole the IG handle “Metaverse” from an Australian artist who’s had it since 2012 after rebranding to Meta.
Sounds about right.
In a world where big companies have no morals or considerations, meta still stands out as the worst and proving it every day.

On Dec. 2, a month after Ms. Baumann first appealed to Instagram to restore her account, The New York Times contacted Meta to ask why it had been shut down. An Instagram spokesman said that the account had been “incorrectly removed for impersonation” and would be restored. “We’re sorry this error occurred,” he wrote.
Two days later, the account was back online.
No problem, just get the NY Times involved and all will be fixed.
