Education polarization re: Facebook is pretty incredible. Nobody I socialize with has a Facebook account. Even the Republicans I spend time with have nuked their accounts.

Really? Most of the PhDs I befriended in grad school who were reasonably active on it back then are still reasonably present. But my Facebook feed is overwhelmingly family/kid/life stuff, followed by liberal politics, social activities, and mostly harmless stuff.
My Facebook is literally only following my local zoo. It’s 100% animal pictures and important updates about the animals in the zoo.

Dude, get with it. They’re a tech company - they’re not enabling human traffickers, they’re disrupting the human trafficking industry. It’s like Uber but for exploitation! They’re going to change the way we think about child soldiers!

She did follow the recipe but she says they wanted you to use the starter around 12 hours after feeding it and hers was active after 6 hours. She’s been baking a while but this is with a starter she bought called “the Beast” that’s been giving her much better results than our previous home started yeast.

Zuckdawg is already king of cult leader Mount Rushmore and has the body count record by a large margin. Their major disruption is blowing out mass suicide numbers by an order of magnitude.
What if Facebook went down again right before an election?
If the experiment is measuring both liberals and conservatives, sure. Liberals fail to learn a fair number of factual things in the news, and conservatives fail to learn a ton of mis- or disinformation along with some true things also. Net effect on factual knowledge is definitely down.

Not having Facebook was a pain in the ass because sometimes people send me FB links or whatever. I tried a couple of times to create burner Facebook accounts but their burner-detection is top-notch, I concluded it’s nearly impossible. So I bought an “aged” Facebook account online. There’s a whole process you go through in the initial days trying to show Facebook you’re a real person, but so far so good.
I have four burner test accounts for our app since it allows Facebook logon. Their names are Test Testy. Not sure what you’re doing to trigger their detection.
