I think Cactus is both wrong and right here
On the one hand. Everyone has access to the internet, to allies who will talk about this when asked etc.
On the other hand. They are also being fucked up by the algorithm so they don’t really see any of that or think of asking.
I saw a stat which said 71% of Americans said they had never met a trans person. (Key word, said).
Meeting people and creating empathy is the best way to break down bigotry.

Stop trying to find something reasonable in what simp is saying.
Just because there are reasonable arguments that are similar to what he’s making, they are not the same thing.
The reasonable argument that vaguely resembles what he is saying is buried somewhere in the below
- We have significant evidence that the number of people who regret transitioning is very low.
- We also have significant evidence that transitioning leads to better outcomes for kids
- That said. Being a teenager is really fucking hard, especially if you have some other stuff going on.
- We should provide support on a spectrum, with greater mental health support and more surety required for the big stuff.
- Oh. We already do that. Great.

Also to be clear, while ubiquitous, shitposting is not good.

Punching down on recognition ceremonies is racist and deplorable, no matter the context you making it in, or how pissed you are at the white (presumably?) guy you are directing it at.

The implication, imo, was that Clovis doesn’t truly give a fuck and his participation in recognition ceremonies is kayfabe on his part.
But even if it wasn’t there is some distance between that and calling someone the n-word for example.
As someone who played both football and rugby I can’t imagine wanting my son or daughter to play either.

Mocking land acknowledgment is very far down the racist scale. He make that comment because he knows I work with indigenous people all the time.

On the other hand it seems almost impossible to play safely.
In fairness, the ruling bodies of Rugby are actively trying to fix this, and are aggressively changing rules and penalty enforcement to try and reduce the risk. In contrast I believe to the NFL which has dragged its feet?
