It’s date night at the Cruz house. He and Heidi are spinning Burt Bacharach LPs.

so is that it done

No way Cruz is cool enough to spin Bacharach.

Shorting something and then just going bankrupt when you can’t pay sounds like a freeroll.

If anyone is truly looking for a gamble there is an AOC Stonk and it’s trading at 15c with tiny volumes. Any kinda memeing and this one should move.

WE CAN HEAR ALEXIS

This front running story still doesn’t make sense as an explanation for crazy price increases.

I buy the short squeeze explanation, I do not buy the front running explanation. The HFT firms make fractions of pennies per share front running.

They make more than that, according to a Reddit post. Like $5 for a 100 share trade, and higher for higher share volumes. And the investor gets screwed. What Alexis just said.

When I give my wife her IVF shot every night (and morning for that matter) I always do a 3 - 2 - 1 countdown and then say a funny word at the stabbing time to make her laugh. I went with “stonks” today.

Right. Front running can generate big dollars if the volume is large, but its very nature (immediate open and close a position) means no net impact on price.

Here’s the Reddit link that has info on the scandal, claiming that they are effectively giving the customer a worse price and keeping the extra spread.

Jumped in Doge after work to hold gamble my GME money overnight before tomorrow. Up 72%, tempted to hodl, but fully expecting it to crash by the time I wake up.

Edit: 30 min later it’s pushed to 140%. This is dumb. Sad I only dropped a 2004 Party Poker 25nl roll on it.
