My understanding of the English and Scottish relationship is that the Scottish are very grateful to be a part of Great Britain and the benefactors of the more prosperous England economy. That’s why everyone is Scotland cheers for England in soccer so much, some even more than their own country as they know the English are far superior and have a better chance to actually win the tournament.
