International Soccer: POCH

Oh shit

I dont think Morata had a terrible pen, better save than anything.

I think PKs are really dumb. In the old NASL, tie-breaking PKs were like hockey penalty shots, where the striker started off at 35 yards out and the goalkeeper could come out the box.

Italy worst on the night but better team over the tournament.

Denmark stand a good chance tomorrow imo.

Tbh I was split on who would have been better to go through tonight and fairly confident that the Danes will be tough to beat tomorrow but canā€™t see England losing tbh.

Idk about this. Spain moved the ball around in midfield really well obviously. Even in a less talented generation their technical quality is amazing. But they had two good chances all game and barely any half chances. The first half one for Olmo and the goal and that was it.

Can you expand on that? Feel like itā€™d be a massive upset to beat this English team @ Wembley

Denmark are a good team who do have a shot, but their main route to victory is through a set piece imo.

I could see Denmark winning on penalties, thatā€™s about itā€¦ Alough I think it will be one of those close games with Kane popping up again in the right spot.

Boring game expected with no drama.

Denmarkā€™s record is the equal of Englandā€™s over the past year, and they drew the last time the teams met. Currently ranked tenth in the world, theyā€™re too often underrated - the classic team without individual superstars whoā€™ve played many times together and know each otherā€™s games inside out.

Expectation weighs heavily on England, who may get an initial lift from the (limited) home support that may also become frustrated in a game between two defensive minded sides.

England are favourites but not by much more than 55/45 imo in a format that could go to penalties.

Thereā€™s not one player on that team that could crack the English starting XI. I like a few players (Damsgasrd, Delaney, Hojbjerg) but they seem far outclassed and playing at the other sideā€™s home ground. ĀÆ_(惄)_/ĀÆ

This analysis is good for league games but doesnā€™t really apply to KO international tournament games.

Still think sterling and Kane is the difference unless some mistakes are made early on as Denmark will be out the blocks fast, I suspect.

If anyone wants Denmark to advance on a juice free line Iā€™m interested.

Basically. Denmark have had problems coping vs OK teams (Belgium, Czechs) that required them to use tactical subs in both games. They had enough to beat a very mediocre Czech team, but once De Bruyne came on were clearly outclassed by Belgium.
If even one of Sancho or Sterling has a good game that should be enough. England still hasnā€™t allowed a goal and have allowed maybe 3 good chances all tournament.

Iā€™ll be laying England (90 mins) on BF.

Iā€™ll probably bet England to win to nil.
England to win and both teams not to score is 2.55
England and u2.5 is 3.15

nonsense, talent matters. International games are just smaller sample sizes with more variance.

Think it matters more for big games like this tbh. This might be the biggest game of the lives of most of these players. The effort in a random Tuesday game in the Danish league wonā€™t compare.
