They don’t let you wear watches or hard wristbands playing soccer.
NBA and college basketball teams wear them too.
Yes good point. The “band” I was referring to was actually around the chest, under the shirt. It provided better data than the wrist bands at the time. This was like a decade ago though, probably tech has improved a lot since then.
Chest straps are still a thing and I know serious runners who wear them because they’re far more accurate than a wrist monitor. I’ve never known anyone who uses the sports bra version though.
Anyone have a photo of LeBron wearing one?
Is there any reason it needs to cut off mid chest? Couldn’t they just add some fabric so that it’s waist length, so it looks, um, less feminine … not that there is anything wrong with that.
clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap England!
That was a very nice finish by Shaqiri. Perfect placement but made it look effortless.
For a vast amount of proa, no header/weak foot finish is “easy.”
He’s always been very talented, but about as fit as players were back in the day when they’d been on the lash the previous night and had steak and eggs a couple of hours before playing.
Just can’t tackle with two feet anymore. Broke my shin on a similar one where my standing leg stayed planted.
So the fact that there are no posts about this yet make me think it was a good call (?) but I’m watching the Switzerland/Spain game at a bar with no sound and a dude on Switzerland was just red carded for nothing (and of course the guy on Spain acted like his leg was ripped off by a pack of wild dogs.) I also admittedly know nothing about soccer, so my question is, was that a good red card or is international soccer as corrupt as the IOC?
a) and b).
As Jal says… Most of them do get away with a yellow in our league though
If Spain go out on pens they fucking deserve it
I was actually gonna say if you can’t score a goal in 30 minutes with a one man advantage then you forfeit the PKs and just lose.
