International Soccer: POCH

No, they lucked into the easy side of the draw as usual. If they get by Germany, they’ll have an easy quarters and semis.

Sweden/Ukraine in Quarters followed by Ned/Cze/Wales/Den

You’re missing a key word here: “comparatively”. Because let’s be honest, KO stages are never going to be easy for England.

I think Germany are the best match-up for England for “good” teams. Slow midfield, weak defense. Not sure if I will bet it, but England should win.

I was trying to remember If it was both those that went hell to leather on the pitch one night not long ago, thanks I’ll watch that later… :ok_hand:

That was the first game to mind when Netherlands - Portugal was mentioned.

This might be the wrong thread, but FC Augsburg announces its fixtures for the upcoming season:

The fact that the Bundesliga will have Augsburg playing Fürth, whereas Schalke will play HSV in the 2nd Bundesliga still seems pretty weird.

I like that Germans also refer to their national chess team league as the Bundesliga.

Cracking anthem you’ve got there boyos - this is the sort of patriotism/national pride I can get behind.

(from a Wales Ireland egg-chasing game)

It just means Federal League.

It’s got to be Danish :hugs:

Gotta ask the tough questions

Is Denmark better without Erickson?

There saying yes on the TV just now and showing how there moving the ball faster and seem to also be playing for him.

Wales have been really poor tbh… :grimacing:

Eriksen had a poor year at Spuds, possibly going downhill.

you know he left awhile ago right? Moved to Inter Milan before covid hit.

Ah, good point. Just autoype Spuds without thinking when he or Kane are mentioned. I’ll probably do the same when Kane fails at City next year, hopefully.

Bale’s been shite at Spuds for many years too.

Can’t say I watched much Serie A this year. He won the league starting 17 games. Couldn’t have been that bad.

I was super frustrated with him his last year at Spurs though.
