Impeachment Watch by The Numbers

Daou’s face turn always amazes me.

Do you mind posting this in the Pelosi thread instead?

5 more are listed on the record today on Politico and ActBlue. All are members of the House Judiciary Committee, and this is probably due to their vote yesterday. Every Democratic member of the House Judiciary Committee is now on the record.

The new additions are Zoe Lofgren and Lou Correa of California, Henry Johnson and Lucy McBath of Georgia, and Sylvia Garcia of Texas. Lofgren and Garcia voted Nay to table the Al Green impeachment resolution, and were part of the hard floor. Correa, Johnson, and McBath all voted Yay to table the Al Green impeachment resolution.

The hard floor is now 152 Democratic members of the House, and the soft floor is 157 (recounted today for accuracy) Democratic members of the House with the removal of Lofgren and Garcia from the hard floor. 146 Democratic members of the House are on the record right now. Politico is still missing John Sarbanes, and Act Blue is missing Kaptur and Soto.

Hard Floor Hold Outs (Nays on tabling Al Green impeachment resolution):

Debbie Dingell (MI)
Eddie Bernice Johnson (TX)
Jerry McNerney (CA)
David Scott (GA)
Mike Thompson (CA)
Frederica Wilson (FL)
Soft Floor (people who have voted for any Al Green impeachment resolutions, but voted Yay to table the most recent Al Green impeachment resolution):

Alcee Hastings (FL)
Lois Frankel (FL)
John Lewis (GA)
Anthony Brindisi (NY)
James Clyburn (SC)

Ed Perlmutter of Colorado is now counted on the ActBlue list (not counted on Politico). He’s number 148, and voted Yay.

Hard floor is 154 for Democratic members of the House, and soft floor is 159 Democratic members of the House.

Darren Soto and Marcy Kaptur are on the Politico list, but not the ActBlue list

John Sarbanes and Ed Perlmutter are on the ActBlue list, but not the Politico list

Hi nunnehi! We are approaching an interesting inflection point, with approximately 2/3 of the caucus supporting impeachment in some form or fashion. Now it’s a matter of whether they are willing to pressure Pelosi or not…

Or to put it another way: Okay, you (~150-160 Dems) support impeachment. Cool. But how much do you actually care if Pelosi keeps blocking it?

My guess is not much at all. My guess is that some of the people supporting it are doing so knowing that the plan is not to move on it, thus allowing them to play both sides and tell progressives “Look, I support it, your issue is with Pelosi,” while telling moderates “Look, were moving very slowly and being super cautious and responsible. Nothing crazy will happen!”

Did nunnehi/smacc have Dingell on the list? I think she just came out in support of an impeachment inquiry.

7 more came out in total with them all adding to a Washington Post OP that they wrote in saying they now support an impeachment inquiry.

I believe it’s up to 154 Democratic members of the House that are on now on the record with something like a hard floor of 160, and a soft floor of 165.

This tweet came after the WaPo posted the OP…

Hey nunnehi, PM Smacc the updated numbers so that he doesn’t have to preface it with “I believe” lol…

The MSNBC L. O’Donnell show with A.Velshi has breaking news…

Veronica Escobar comes out for impeachment making her the 4th :face_with_hand_over_mouth:Opps sorry Ally Velshi mislead me.

Rep Dingell comes out for an Impeachment Inquiry making her the 156th member of the House to do so.

Thanks Cuse…

Is there a Dingwall or do you mean Dingell? And if it’s Dingell, it’s a she.

Rep. Rosa DeLauro, supposedly close with Pelosi, released a statement tonight that she’ll support impeachment if the administration doesn’t cooperate Thursday.

LOL Thursday? So like 47 news cycles from now when we’ll be talking about whether or not McDonald’s cheeseburgers taste like ass after Trump tweets McDonald’s cheeseburgers taste like ass?

Nine of the 31 Democrats in districts Trump won in 2016 are now on the record for action on impeachment. Several of them came out for it today.

It seems like thee MSNBC got Rosa DeLauro mixed up with Veronica Escobar. Mistakes are made on a night like this I suppose… Sorry about that.

It’s getting pretty nuts, and very hard to track right now as lists are off everywhere. Politico’s up to 171 (missing 3 people on other lists which makes it 174). 27 have gone on the record since yesterday.

Time to activate the nunnehi signal

With Pelosi going on the record, they’ll be over 218 by day’s end I think.

It’s going to be lit if he tries to claim victory lol… Turns out the number wasn’t 100, nor was it 160. It was two. As in, we needed an entire second blatantly impeachable scandal to get the ball rolling.

I just meant for record keeping purposes. Smacc posted that sites are all over the place with their counts. Nunnehi was good at that.

The sites have always been behind… Politico’s was probably the best overall with CNN being 1 of the worst.
