Healthcare in USA Is #2

Well per some quick googling and looking at who manufactures these, your m357 and m367 pills are made by the same manufacturer.

Whoa, there buddy, you’re shifting back and forth here. Let’s stick to this:

It seems like there are at least two different conversations happening here, and all of them sound stupid.

Yes, and they still don’t hit exactly the same. More hydrocodone and less tylenol makes the 367s hit harder and more fun. But it’s not like people throw away the 357s. They just prefer the 367s. The yellow Norcos were even better. Whatever they did or didn’t put in those made them hit harder.

So that’s why I think maybe the yellows were also a crappier brand. Or yeah they could be counterfeit. But I don’t think that was the only time my friends got them. So you’d think at some point they’d get non-counterfeit.

I’m trying really hard to get it down to one, and yes, it is still incredibly stupid.

So, you don’t think the professional pharmacologists whose job it is to study this stuff never thought of this and/or never published it anywhere. You don’t think any of them ever thought “Hey, maybe we should figure how how this ‘delivery stuff’ affects drug bioavailabity and effects?”

Again, to be clear, we’re talking same brand. Two 5s vs one 10.

I’m not sure pharmacologists are spending a lot of time measuring the rush when a drug hits.

I like how you just ignore the whole generic thing and are still sure that all this stuff is considered thoroughly in every other aspect of drug formulation. Like the same pharmacologists and FDA that let generics run wild is somehow policing if a drug hits different when you have double the delivery agent to drug ratio.

Used to be the same fucking argument with the calories in / calories out guys who insisted that there are no other variables at play. Me knowing my own body and lived experience counted for nothing. Turns out tons of shit like BMR and fat absorption is variable based on your body’s fat thermostat, and they’re finding new stuff all the time.

I’m not ignoring it. I said multiple times that there are reasons why different brands can be different. Or if you’re getting entirely fake pills. Or if company is making fake pills. I have even highlighted it in neat little boxes by quoting it for you. You’re the one ignoring it.

Let’s stick to real point of contention here. Same brand, two 5s vs one 10.

Well, they can ask. That’s why as I said earlier, a randomized, blinded trial would put this to rest and if there was any plausible reason for this to occur, there would be a massive incentive to investigate and publish this finding.

Fucking hell I haven’t been on a Melk Alice in Wonderland endless merry-go-round argument in a long time. Don’t miss it. I’m done.

Right, they’re going to do a trial on people taking a pain pill for recreational purposes. JFC

Fucking hell I haven’t been on a Melk Alice in Wonderland endless merry-go-round argument in a long time. Don’t miss it. I’m done.

The Tylenol doesn’t affect anything with the opiate. It’s there just to make sure something else can poison you if you’re taking too much

Whoa there CN, don’t go discounting suzzer’s “lived experience” with all your fancy medical facts.

No, they would do a study on how it affects either healthy volunteers or people who take it for its intended purpose. As part of the study they would likely ask about other effects such as a feeling of euphoria, which is a known side effect of opioids.

I’m really grasping at the bounds of the craziness of your thesis, but are you now suggesting that two 5s vs one 10, same brand is the same, EXCEPT for the getting high part.

Suzzer your premise is pretty crazy.

So is the premise that my friends, who were pill maniacs at the time, all deluded themselves into thinking that two yellows weren’t as good as one blue. Because of mass delusion or something, even when they already had sunk cost on the yellows and had every motivation to like them.

Like I’ve always said, AI is infallible and should always be trusted.

The AI probably just found your argument on here and used that to generate the answer.

I am trying to come up with anecdotal examples of similar delusion but don’t have any for you now. I just know people can convince themselves of some crazy stuff especially when they want to believe.

My personal experience with 5 and 10 mg hydrocodone are that two 5s are the same as one 10.

I am not saying your theory on Valium is without merit, it just seems unlikely.

I’m even willing to accept that they can be different if different brands (unlikely that the difference is so dramatic, but possible for reasons that have been covered).

The crazy premise is that he’s insisting that two 5s and one 10 of the same brand/manufacturer are so different. The “delivery stuff” theory is cool and all, but you would have to believe that it is true AND there is no published evidence of it. Also I haven’t weighed a 5mg and 10mg pill, but I’m sure that they both weigh way more than 5 or 10mg, which means that the active ingredients are a very small percentage of the total weight. But I’m sure for suzzer and pals, that tiny difference is everything.

Were you taking the hydrocodone for fun or for pain?
