Happy Festivus! Annual Airing of Grievances

Also, this forum has a weird name. I don’t even know what it means. It confuses people every time I tell someone the name. Which is frustrating because they’ll dismiss it based on the name alone. Every time the conversation goes like this:

Me: You ever heard of a website called Unstuck Politics?

Them: I don’t know what that is. I’ve never seen that.

Me: Let me show you on my phone.

Them: Okay but I can’t read it, there’s no words on it.

Me: Look here it says Unstuck politics.

Them: Unstuck politics? What does that mean? Unstuck politics?

Me: Yeah, it’s a weird name.

Them: What is… I don’t know what that means to unstuck politics. What does that mean? To unstuck politics?

Me: Yeah, uh, anyhow, let me just show you one of the threads.

Them: Alright… go, go!

Me: Here’s a thread about Virginia’s election.

Them: That’s tomorrow and…

Me: Yeah, the election is tomorrow.

Them: That’s tomorrow and that is it for us today….

Me: Aw, don’t be like that. Come on man, just give it a shot.

Them: I can’t do it.

Me: Well at least check it out later.

Them: We’ll do it live.

Me: What?

Them: WE’LL DO IT LIVE! FUCK IT! DO IT LIVE! I’LL WRITE IT AND WE’LL DO IT LIVE!

Me: …

Them: FUCKING THING SUCKS!

Every. single. time.

Seems like maybe we need more Yom Kippur and less Festivus in this joint.

You have odd conversations with people

Feats of strength and airing of grievances sound better than starvation, boredom and searching for atonement.
