GOP Insanity Containment 2: This is the Place. This is the Time, Cowboy.

His position was that the bill has fixable flaws but does some good.

In that case, fuck him. I should have known that Idaho Republican being actually against this bill was sus.

We got her!

James Bopp Jr., a conservative lawyer who is representing Greene, said the challenge was “50 pages of newspaper articles, hearsay and political hyperbole.” He warned during the court hearing that if the challenge is allowed to proceed, it will embolden liberal groups to try to disqualify former President Donald Trump from running for reelection in 2024.

Dems just chilling, hoping the judicial branch takes care of things. The bolded would be a dream scenario for McConnell imo. They get to blame Trump’s inability to run on a crazy liberal Obama judge, keep the base riled up like crazy, and rid themselves of Trump as a candidate. They could even put a bunch of meaningless referendums on the ballot about overturning the judge’s ruling to turn out the Trumpers.

Trump or Desantis is basically the same thing imo. We’re going to get one or the other as the nominee. Or by some miracle Mitt Romney. Fuck off @SweetSummerChild

We got pretty unlucky imo that the Republican nominees who were never going to beat Obama, happened to be the two sane ones - McCain and Romney. So of course the lesson is - better nominate someone crazy. If Trump have won the nomination in 2012 and got trounced, and then Romney beat Hillary in 2016, our country would be in so much better shape.

right, that worked in 2020

the problem is that the democrats actually won and haven’t delivered anything

meh, it’s more pointlessness

josh hawley doesn’t care if some bozo says he’s a hypocrite, and neither do any people voting R, this isn’t going to shame anyone into changing.

Because Dems had no message. What were they promising to deliver to me, the voter? It was 100% Orange Man Bad messaging and they just barely won thanks in large part to the pandemic.

Newsweek reporting “Herrera had been allegedly in the hospital, had a miscarriage and then “divulged some information to hospital staff, who then reported her to the police.””

dude this forum is literally overflowing with complaints about 2020 promises that have gone nowhere despite the trifecta. the $2000 checks, student loan relief, there are a billion different things in BBB, improvements to the ACA.

This is horrifying.

Absolutely. My state (SC) is working on a similar bill so hahaaaa :grimacing:

And how many voters could actually tell you how BBB would help them personally? Pure garbage messaging. Fortunately Trump made the election a referendum on Hunter Biden’s laptop, which was an even more confusing message.

Preemptive FU to SSC was critical there. At least you realize how impossible this is.

Yeah, it’s probably better to run against Trump, because all they can run on anyway is “We’re not as bad as them!” and at least more people will know it’s true with Trump than with DeSantis, who still manages to play the Country Club Republican part while cranking the dog whistles up to 12.

Don’t forget voting rights, democracy reform, etc!
