I mean this would be a viable strategy if the goal was catching cheats. It seems close to a mortal lock the percentage of tax cheats is much higher among republicans than democrats.

this reminds me I made a prop bet over a year ago at even money that Kanye would either kill or attempt to kill or attempt to have someone killed, with no expiration date. I still feel those are great odds.

I’m sure this guy is a massive asshole and incredibly un-Christ-like in his life and politics, but he’s not entirely wrong in that quote.
jesus also explicitly stated you should pay your taxes even if you feel they are unjust, but that’s conveniently glossed over in most interpretations of the text.

with my weird knowledge of the bible this has been a powerful tool for me debating the religious people in my life. you can go down the list of practically anything jesus teaches and the GOP is in stark opposition to it. it’s a running meme that jesus would be considered a dirty socialist libcuck in the supposed party of jesus.
“thanks confirming what I’ve already kinda known my whole life, that you and your ilk dont give a crap what jesus or the bible teaches at all” was pretty commonly thrown out early on, but I’ve calmed down a bit.
I wanted to run a troll campaign where I put jesus quotes in front of prominent liberal politicians and watch people rage out on it without realizing where the quote came from, but got lazy and didn’t.
