Scottie will make the cut. Data golf has +5 as most likely and now has +6 in play. Greens only going to bake out some more this afternoon.
You still need 25 guys to go to +5 or worse and there aren’t that many guys up there. It could definitely go to +5 but I disagree with the data golf model and think +4 has to be the favorite by a mile. Would gladly bet on +4 as the cut with anyone who wants to bet at even odds for fun.
Currently data golf has the cut at:
+4 26%
+5 69%
+6 and beyond the rest.

yeah hes already moved up from t90 to t80 in the last hour. basically all of the +3 and +4 are going to come back to him and the vast majority of the guys who shot +2 in the thurs morning wave are going to shoot +3 or worse this afternoon.
There are 23 guys with more than 1 hole left at +2 to +4. You need 19/23 of them to get to +5. Could happen sure but its far from a lock. Another 10 guys or so at +1 or E that could get there as well. Datagolf up to +5 as 71% so I’m probably just a moron.
im counting 16 at E or +1, so assume 4 of those guys come back to +5 you only need 15 +2 thru +4 to come back. I think he makes it and assuming the winning score is -3/-4 and he’s in one of the first groups out tomorrow he’s not dead by any means.
I’ve definitely seen DG model show some pretty strong numbers, and then the round evolves and the model just didn’t predict it well. We’ll see what happens. Folks are definitely sliding back, as evidenced by +5 making up a lot of ground in the last couple hours .
Yeah, on another forum with about 7 holes to go, I predicted that Scheffler would make the weekend and finish something like top 10. Easily in play right now. He’ll have a ton of players to jump over to get to the top on a course that is going to be hard to shoot low, I’d think.

Tiger doesn’t really look like he’s playing too bad. He’s been great off the tee and his approach shots are looking a lot better than yesterday.
I thought it was a neighbor’s lawn maintenance team all day yesterday.
