Yeah Hovland shoots a +2, and the Cams feed off each other with a 65 and a 64. I think if Rory was with one of them he’d go lower.

I really don’t get how Rory left his drive 30-40 yards short of the green on 18. Maybe the wind changed a little but he is supposed to be as long as anyone if he goes after it, and he was in a must eagle situation
Same thing happened on 12 Smith drove to the front edge just short of the big rise in the green and McIlroy left it 30-40 yards short
Broadcast made it sound like it hit directly into an upslope and died, but I was almost certain he was going pin high or longer with the adrenaline.

Cam Smith is a good dude and an incredible golf talent. I’ve said it after a few of his recent losses but the hate isn’t understandable to me. He is not a good looking person and I think your best play is to go full ridiculous at that point. Also we all just witnessed one of the best Sunday peformances ever in one of the most hyped events ever. He deserves respect.

It’s because if you saw him walking down the street looking like that, he’s a Trumper 9 out of 10 times. I don’t know his actual morals or politics, so that’s unfair, but that’s why. And he just beat one of the truly few actual nice guys with good character and morals on tour.
Right and not many would be capable of that so speculating he might be deplorable because of a weird haircut and discounting his accomplishments (which are pretty damn good) is pretty deplorable to me.

I mean it’s not like I’m publicly shunning him or treating him badly, I’m just rooting against him. Calling that deplorable seems a bit harsh.
And Rory is one of a couple of known liberals in golf and I’ve been a huge fan of his since I saw him going way out of the way to sign autographs for kids at Congressional. I’d root against anyone taking a major from him with the exception of Tiger.
